Dana's Cookies to die for

This is my first time actually creating the actual recipe using basic science and charts of conversion.

Creation Recipe Blogged #1

Dana's Candy Cookies - Bulk Holiday Cookies with Peanut Butter and Nutella

Sift or wisk and set aside;
1 1/2 Cups of All Purpose Flour
1tsp Salt
1tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Baking Powder

Cream together;
1 Cup of Unsalted Butter, Soft (1/2lb or 2 sticks)
1 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
2 tbsp of peanut butter
4 tbsp Nuntella (or 1/4 cup of sugar)
Slowly add Flour mix to Wet Mix

Incorporate 1 at a time
2 Eggs
2 Tsp Vanilla

Incorporate Slowly mixing completely before adding

3 Cups total of; Heath Bar Pieces, Reeses minis and Dark chocolate chips (Mix in a separate so you have even distribution)

Easily doubled

Bake at 350 in half flattened balls about an inch and a half apart
Better if you refrigerate them first for a few hours before baking
To do this faster I merely roll the dough into three tubes of batter in wax paper and put them in the freezer for a half hour.

Also

Better if you remove them before they are completely finished cooking to keep them chewy. To make harder cookies into chewy cookies put them in a sealed container with one slice of bread overnight. Then you remove the bread and reseal. This will keep them moist and chewy.

VARIATIONS

You could add other candies, chocolate chips or whatever you like using the same ratio
You can make these into oatmeal cookies by adding 1 1/2 cup of oats in place of candy and 1/2 cups of nuts or raisins.

I went to the Dr today and things are not looking so good

I have been blogging my pain for the past few weeks and i am sure you have all seen my posts. I went to the Dr today in an emergency visit. She says the ovarian cysts are so big she can feel them easily with her hand. She told me I have to be back Monday afternoon for a full workup. She also said she is worred becuase my culture came back with a lot of radical cells. She did nto say the C word but I think she was trying to avoid it. She just tole me that it was very important I come back on Monday to have the work done. She is very worried. Suck. Honestly I am numb after the miscarriage in Sept. I honestly wish it was just all gone so I did not have to have false hopes and pain and procedures and medical bills.. not to mention the various secondary problems I am having like the massive teenage-looking breakout all over my neck, chest and back. It hurts and it is unsightly. I look like a meth addict. It's so unfair. I am alright though, honestly. I will get through it as I always do but I am so worn thin. Just too much.

Apple Berry Cherry Cheesecake Crumble

This is how I did it; 18x20 crumble

4 Apples;

Granny Smith
Golden Delicious
Gala
Jacob

1/2 bag of each frozen fruits; Berry mix, Black Cherry, Blueberry

In a pot place Apples and sweat over med heat before adding frozen fruit add 2 tbsp cinnamon about a tsp of nutmeg and a few sprinkles of clove (pinch)

Your not cooking the mix as much as you are sweating it and coating the flavors evenly. After they have sweated about a centimeter of liquid to the bottom of the pan add about 1/8 cup of jiffy mix slowly sprinkling and mixing as you go. Some white is okay.

After you done with the mix grease a 18x20 double cake pan (or a subsequent broiler pan)
Pour mix into the pan and add 6 tbsp of jiffy baking mix or self rising flour onto fruit

Now the filling which is optional lends a nice cheesecake flavor

2 packages of cream cheese
1/4 cup of sugar in the raw OR 1/8 of a cup of white sugar
Heat cream cheese a little to get it flowing if need be
1 tbsp vanilla
2 eggs
Mix in a bowl and pour on top of fruit spread with a spatula as even as you can manage without messing with it too much

Crumble;

1 1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 tbsp of cinnamon
1 cup of Jiffy
1/2 cup of oats
you can add flax or nuts if you wish
2 tbsp of oil and mix about the same of water in the dry mix do not add more water or you will get a paste

Sprinkle over your cheesecake and fruit mix

Bake for 45-55 min on 375

Serve warm or cold
Keeps for 6 days

Windows 7 Review

Windows 7 Home Professional = Awesome

Though I have had a few compatibility problems they were always resolved right away and the fix was incredibly easy. 99% of my hardware and custom made computer ran perfectly. I do have the same complaint of anyone with my motherboard which is the Asus TurboV won't install in Windows 7 RC
I'm going to Asus site for my P6T motherboard.

Don't waste your kitchen leftovers - Make Stock

We used our old carrot tops, onion peels, and whatever organic leftovers we have from the week and add it to a stock pot with a little water and spoices. We save meat bones or leftovers form the week. WE save it in a fridge for a day or so until something accumulates. Not more than 4 days.

We then boil everything for down for an hour or more. We then strain it with a good strainer or soon out impurities. This way we are using what we have. We just keep a bowl in the fridge and make stock one a week. Sometimes we add other stocks, bullion flavorings to our stock to prepare to make a meal with it. It keeps in your fridge for few days. It freezes well.

Dana's Custard Pie and tart filling and Flaky Crust

Pie Crust
2 pies
or
Two pies and 12-14 tarts

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (1 stick) butter, 1/2 frozen and diced (or chilled in freezer)
1/2 cup ice water (keep water on the side)

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs using two butter knives or a pastry cutter.

Stir in water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. DO NOT OVER MIX.

You can attempt to roll this dougg out but I normally just roll out four circles and then press them into the pan with my fingers. The crt is so tender it is hard to roll. You will LOve this crust. It is flaky, crisp and breaks at the press of a fork.

Dana's Pumpkin Custard Pie and Tart Filling (VERY FULL 9 INCH!)

2 1/2 Cups of Pumpkin blended smooth
1 14oz can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 eggs
1/2tsp of salt
1/4 cup of evaporated milk

One teaspoon of each;

Cinnamon
Nutmeg
ginger (optional)

1/4 tsp clove ( a few shakes)

(optional)

Cover edge with foil

(cook...ing)
Bake in unbaked pie shell for 15 min

at 425
Turn oven down to 350 and bake for an

hour to an hour and 15 min.

If you left over filling you can

always freeze it or make little tarts

with your leftover crust

To make tarts roll out dough use a cup to cut and place the rounds in a cupcake pan and fill with leftover crust. You can bake them with your pie but they will only take about half the time. You cover them completely with foil and put them only one step before the bottom of your oven. They are crisp and delicious.
